Every year, the organization observes International Girl Child Day with the theme ‘With her- A Skilled Girl Forced, Dreams- Achieving Dreams’. It is crucial that girls everywhere are inspired, innovate, and take charge of their own futures. We observed the day to encourage young girls to pursue their dreams and become successful leaders.
We initiated an activity on realising dreams- life skill activity was participated by all the 6 schools and the program drew attention to encouraging adolescent young minds to build and embrace their confidence and self-worth in order for them to find better meaning in life.
Our group of 102 girls from 6 urban schools in Shillong observed this day with a motivational speech given by Ms Hasina Kharbih, the founder of Impulse NGO Network. She spoke about her entrepreneurial endeavors with Impulse, her life experience, her work, her accomplishments, and how she overcame obstacles to pursue her dreams. Ms. Vatsala, a successful business woman who spoke about her experiences and dreams, also provided a motivational speech..
