Program Assistant
Pyrkhatskhem Dkhar, a Khasi from Meghalaya, is a Communications and Community Relations Assistant at Faith Foundation, Shillong. In addition to digital documentation and video editing, he will assist in the organisation’s programmes and activities.
In 2015, he completed his Bachelor degree in Social Work at Martin Luther University Shillong. Following graduation in 2015, he worked as a paid intern with the North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Government of India.
As a Social Worker between 2016 and 2018, he worked at Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA) run by Life Light Focus Concern, a Non-Profit Organization in Nongstoin, Meghalaya. Within the Agency, he conducted adoption case studies both locally and interstate. As a young aspirant, he yearns to explore his potential, hone his knowledge and skills, and work with a larger group of people and communities.
Later in 2018, he worked as a Programme Coordinator and Documentation Assistant at the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE) Meghalaya, Government of Meghalaya. In his time with the Department, he worked with numerous groups of women, youth, and communities in Meghalaya.
